Ooooo! From the first words, this book is twisting and mind-boggling! Someone awakens in a forest and is unable to determine who they are, yet they know there has been a murder. They hear a scream? Who does it belong to? Short bursts of memory allow the character to begin to solve these mysteries.
I like how it was difficult to determine initially whether the character was male or female, and their confusion made our confusion even more interesting.
The inventive language used to describe the character in the forest was unsettling in the best way. It feels almost like a mix between mystery, thriller, and science fiction.
I can instantly tell how intriguing the plot is and can’t wait to read the rest!
