Sucks you in from the first line!

The title of this book was intriguing - how can one die seven AND A HALF times? But from the first line, the preview completely sucked me in. The main character is in a forest, completely confused - not only does he know who he is or where he is, but even his own body seems foreign to him! He is calling a woman's name, seeking her desperately, but he has no idea who she is. I forgot I was only reading a sample and when I came to the end, I positively shrieked in dismay! This clearly is a book that one would read in one sitting, because I can't imagine being able to put it down once I start it. I absolutely MUST get this book.

The cover resembles a classic old-school mystery by Agatha Christie or Ngaio Marsh and seems perfect for a mystery set in decrepit manor house that is falling into ruin.
