This is not a relaxed read, you MUST be paying full attention. There are a ton of characters and different timelines, obviously to convey the plot. All the characters and their stories begin to make sense eventually, so don’t give up! I was definitely not able to solve the death of Evelyn Hardcastle! This book takes you on a mind-boggling path with so many twists and secrets. The best way to describe it is Groundhog Day meets Clue. Our main character, Aiden is stuck in a ‘purgatory’ repeating the same night and events over and over in different host(s) - 8 days and 8 hosts to solve it. You never really knew who Aiden could/should trust and who were his friends/enemies. Every step Aiden made definitely had a cause and effect. He had to make adjustments to ensure he ended up where he needed to be for the future. Overall, Turton pulled it off expertly. Was definitely a challenge to solve, but an entertaining path to figuring out who killed Evelyn.
