This book is one big puzzle of people and events, so you have to pay attention and analyze it while reading. Every detail and name matters, you would be taking notes and annotating the pages while reading.
It is medium-paced, some chapters fly by and some go very very slow. This reminded me of the TV show Dark when everything comes together at the end of it, and I have not seen the twist. Every chapter added to my theories of "what is happening" more and more.
Book reads like realism but obviously, we have a dash of supernatural in it, so it was messing up with my head as to "is it real or not?".
Some twists were predictable, but the main one came out of nowhere and had a very classy Agatha Christie feel to it. This was more of a mystery than a thriller, putting a puzzle together without getting actually scared or creeped out.
Overall, I liked it but it is way too long for my taste with too much repetition.
