Initially confusing but great finish!
This book is such an interesting mix of historical fiction, a murder mystery and science fiction that I was hooked! The beginning was slow and a little confusing as the world and characters was establish but when it took off it really TOOK. OFF.
The characters were so interesting and well-written. I could never tell who to trust or how exactly the "game" was played and my heart pounded the whole time. I can't wait to see what the author writes next and if it will be set in the same world. There were some character backstories I think would make amazing spin-offs and I would love to learn more about them.
A fun Clue-like murder mystery that kept me on the edge of my seat both when I read it on audio and the physical copy!
