I NEED the rest of this book!!
This sample I read was just enough to whet my appetite for the rest of the book. There's an identifiable tension from the very beginning, as the thought of waking up in the middle of the woods not knowing how you go there or who you even are would be a nightmare to anyone. However the main mystery of who and what threads through beautifully while immersing the reader in the atmosphere of a once-beautiful country estate now falling to ruin.
There's also a delicious sense of dread that follows from the beginning that's hard to shake but does not distract the reader from the story at hand, but merely drives the desire to read page after page to the end. This is most certainly the kind of book one could read in one sitting!
