This book is Groundhog Day meets Agatha Christie meets something else I can't place.

There are multiple different timelines, and it can be easy to get lost in the details and questions. I spent most of my time reading this being confused, but I still wanted to find out more.

On top of an exciting plot, this book is masterfully written. The beautiful language and ambitious character development propels this story forward. It was easy for me to care about the narrator because he was so relatable, and acted how I thought I would act in a similar situation. I was rooting for him the whole time.

This initially confusing murder mystery morphs into a poignant parable about human nature, friendship, and the ability to change.
