Hours later and I'm still thinking about this book and might even say that this book might benefit from second reading by me. As one who likes to try to figure out the mystery and determine the red herrings, I was a complete failure and just simply had to sit back and enjoy the ride. Turton has written a VERY intricate mystery with homage to Agatha Christie and a giant dollop of time travel. Not one who enjoys time travel elements, in this case solving a murder from the viewpoint of multiple characters in Ground Hog Day style, worked for me. (The party invitation at the beginning of the book serves as a cast of characters and I needed to refer to it frequently). As the main character Aiden Bishop says, "every man is in a cage of his own making," and this thought colors the investigation and race against time. To say too much more about this book could spoil it for other readers. Very imaginative and clever read!
