I really wanted to like this book. The beginning was jarring, but engaging and I was ready for a wild ride. Instead, I got a story that constantly gave me whiplash in a very roundabout kind of way. The main characters are hard to pin down since half of the characters are the same person. I got really strong Clue vibes and thought that this was an even remotely solvable story, but it truly wasn't and it rubbed me the wrong way.

I got through this as a combination of an ebook and an audiobook and the narrator was not working for me. The voices that he did for the characters kept pulling me out of the story. The fact that this story has a bad habit of haphazardly jumping around in time made it more complicated than it needed to be to know where I even was in the day/story.

The only redeeming part of this book for me was the ending. The true mystery felt so unimportant after you get to the big reveal and I was way more invested in the true reasons for the day and what these people mean to each other than the actual murder.
