How in the hell was this a debut novel? This was PHENOMENAL. There are so many twists and turns, it's so exquisitely written, that it confuddles your mind so you have no idea where it's going. The shifts in perspective, the twists, the way everything comes together, it feels like this is the work of somebody who is a veteran writer.
You try to work out the puzzle. You can see the main character putting the pieces together but you as a reader just can't figure out how they fit no matter how hard you try. That's the sign of a really good author.
Unfortunately, this is a debut and the book came out just this month. That's unfortunate because I can't wait to read anything else this author has written! Will be waiting to get my hands on his next book.
