Almost intolerable

OOF... This book seemed like it would never end, and not in a good way.... I had heard good thinks from a bookish friend and was super excited when it finally came off hold at the library, but - wow -it was such a struggle to get through. After the second iteration, it was hard to imagine I’d have to endure 5 more iterations, and yet it kept going with beyond slow plot development. The writing style was fine, but I just couldn’t stay interested and was hoping it would end sooner than it did. Each iteration seemed more and more repetitive, and the “plot twist” at the end was underwhelming. If each new perspective provided more distinct experiences, I probably would have liked this a lot better...
