Honestly to sum up this novel, The 7 ½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle in the author’s acknowledgments as: “a time-travel, body-hopping, murder mystery novel”. And after reading it, boy did I know that that stuck true to its word.
It’s a basic who-dun-it novel, with the element of time travel. In each new body, Aiden does recall what he learned from previous experiences. It’s a novel that keeps the reader on their toes. There were some parts I felt a bit exhausted due to there being a decent amount to take in, but nonetheless it was still an enjoyable read. Each character was definitely worth reading about and intriguing in their own ways. The concept of this book as a whole was great. It’s unexpected and twisted and a great ride to travel on. The plot was complex and kept reopening me in even if I had to pause a few moments to let it all sink in. I can really see why people recommend this!
