I wasn’t sure about The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle after the first few pages. But then I really started to get into it. The protagonist finds himself lost in the woods after a night of hard drinking convinced he’s witnessed a murder. The kicker is that he doesn’t remember who he is. The excerpt reminded me of a murder mystery dinner theater story, which pretty much pushed the book to the top of my TBR. Can’t wait to read the rest of the book!
