I love how this story begins in medias res. Although it can be a confusing way to begin without background and set, but it puts the reader in the perspective of the main character. It's interesting how there are two mysteries right away. 1) the actual murder, and 2) what's up with the narrator? How can he solve the mystery if he has not memories prior?
