The title of the book immediately made me think of the "The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo" and made me wonder why no one else caught that, or whether it was intentional. I wish a different name had been chosen. That said the first few chapters were gripping, written in a tense, first person POV that immediately plunges the reader into the mystery of the story, the setting, and the very urgent feelings of the narrator. The story definitely has flavors remincisent of the movie Clue, Downton Abbey, Agatha Christie, and Kate Atkinson. I think readers will devour this up and it will bring a welcome break from the "twist of the week" books currently dominating the suspense genre.
