A macabre tale with hints of Alice in Wonderland

Sebastian Bell wakes up in a forest, totally unaware of why he is there, when he hears a woman screaming and he starts looking for a woman named Anna, convinced that she is in mortal danger. Then he stumbles to a house in the middle of the forest where Daniel, perhaps a caretaker, gives him shelter and calls a physician for him. He has knife wounds on his arm so he is convinced that someone tried to kill him. Very confusing so far!
