Tennison could easily be two books and at some points I wish it had been broken down. Sometimes there were so many details that the book dragged. But sometimes I felt the tediousness showed how hard it was to be a cop during this time period. I loved that this book was set in the 1970s so there was so much more legwork involved in good police work- no cell phones or computers to do quick research! I appreciated Jane’s tenacity and ability to stand up for herself in a mans world. I have to say the last quarter of the book was the best. So much happening and a few twists I didn’t expect. I will be checking out the next chapter of Jane’s life to see where she goes from the ending of Tennison.
