I cannot review this book because I never received it. I tried to indicate that but was unsuccessful. I thought it sounded good because of the premise of a 22-year-old detective dealing with crime on the one hand, and the male-dominated environment in which she works on the other. Also, this book apparently is a prequel to the other Jane Tennison books so for fans of the Helen Mirren television series it would be very entertaining to see something about Jane's background.
I hope that I can find it in the library or a bookstore and get to read it, because seeing how Jane became who we know she was later would be most interesting. Although I have seen the television series I have not read the books, and would like to start the series with this one!
