I have never heard of Tennison before I read this book as I had never seen the TV show (or knew that there was a book beforehand). I was happy to hear about it though because I really liked the book and I need to hunt down the show.
I always love finding books where a female is the front and center, especially in a male dominated field of employment. Jane is a fascinating character and one that I feel is complex. The book does a good job of introducing you to the world of Jane early on and I did find myself engaged.
The only issue I had with the book was it was a little too long, in my opinion, and I think this book could have worked as maybe two books.
