This is the first time I have heard about this author or character. I’m so glad I received this book from BookishFirst. I now not only need to read her other books but also need to watch the show. I enjoyed the writing style. It definitely portrays 1970s and the struggle of a woman in the police force. Jane seems like a strong character, especially since she didn’t give up even though it might have been easier to do so. The book does highlight how not only was the police force and how to investigate are changing but also how more advanced criminals are becoming. I do wish the book was a tad bit shorter, solving only one case instead of two but the storyline was great, the character was awesome and I overall enjoyed it.
