When I started off reading this book I was not sure I would like it. I found that I actually enjoyed it. We are taken back to the 70's. Jane is a new probationer with the Metropolitan Police. She is mostly used to fetch coffee or sandwiches. Until one day she gets her chance to help on a new murder case. Jane is a young naive girl with a lot to learn. I liked the face that there were actually two cases going on at one time. I felt it made the read a little more interesting rather than focusing on only one case. I mean after all, let's be realistic there are always multiple cases going on in real life. I was quite surprised by some of the character developments and most definitely the ending. I will be interested in reading the next book in the series.
