I only read the first look but I'm excited to check this out when the book is released. Even though the first "action" in the story is very minor, it sets up for an entertaining book. I figure if an author can make a random run-in on the street entertaining, I can't wait to see what they do with an entire book. Just the start of the investigation into murder is all that you see and, at the time, the main character isn't involved, but she's very interested. I loved that she talks about inequality right out of the gate but doesn't seem to push it too far. Overall, the first bit that I read has me very excited to check out this book! Thanks to all involved for providing me this sneak peak so I can add this to my shelf!
