When I read the First Impression I was only slightly intrigued. I read a lot of detective books and thought this one would be just another in a line of “why did I read that”. But it was very captivating. I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. I had no idea it was a prequel to more books of the same genre. I will have to check out more by this author now.
If you like a book that will keep you reading, though I could put it down, then this one is a must. I did enjoy it. The setting, 1973, was a time period that I enjoy. I just started high school in that year.
This was also two stories in one in many ways. I usually read more Women’s Fiction but this was a pretty good book that will hold your interest. There were parts that I didn’t like but overall it was good.

I received a copy of the via Bookish for my honest review.
