Wow! I’ve always enjoyed watching DCI Jane Tennison from the Prime Suspect series. The author does a good job of back grounding what is to come. I like the music reference. What an appropriate cover. This book is a police procedural about Jane Tennison and her beginnings in the Metro at Hackney, a violent and rough area in London in the 1970’s. Being she is female we already see discrimination and sexism in her treatment by her male superiors and coworkers.
