Slow, But Holds Promise
The boldness of the cover caught my interest, though the title is uninspiring.
The story starts out slow, mostly setting up for events to come. I enjoyed the dialogue, which is realistic and reflects the various dialects. The author also does a good job of capturing what it was like for a woman on a police force back in the '70s.
While not riveting, this first impression hints at an interesting story.
