I found “Tennison” tedious and underwhelming. Set in 1970’s London, Tennison is a woman newly uniformed in the police department of a seedy neighborhood. While the synopsis alludes to her being given a murder case, in the sample she is a woman in aman’s world and doesn’t seem quite capable. Her seargent delegates jobs like answering the phone and grabbing coffee and she seems overwhelmed by these responsibilities. I can’t imagine someone so green and uncertain solving a murder.
