I would say my first impression of Tennison was just okay. I think this book has the potential to be good and that's why I would want to read a bit more. The sample didn't give you enough to really make me want to read more. I think in this case the first 19 pages needed to have a bit more excitement to draw you in. I love mystery and suspense books so I would give it a chance but I'm not sure if I would finish it.
As far as the cove goes I thought it was fine. I wouldn't say it's what made me first read the sample though.
