Flawed Icon in the Making, I Knew Jane When She Was Young
This book grabs your interest immediately in the main character, Jane Tennison. She's only 22, fresh out of police training, and living large in the misogyny of her male superiors. We're even treated to Jane being domestic, washing dirty dishes left by the male cops and brewing tea. What a great adventure this book will be!
The jacket cover was okay, just fine, but not outstanding. It seemed rather generic, it's not offensive but it wouldn't make me pick up the book to read the synopsis.
