I think Marylee MacDonald has such a unique perspective having been given up by her mother and adopted by a family and later being on the other side having to give up her first baby for adoption. Being on both sides of that difficult situation provides a very interesting introspection from MacDonald, and I can't wait to see where her story goes and ends up. I loved how she writes this with anecdotes about her life (that she writes out with dialogue and description like a novel) but also includes some scientific research and statistics that complement her own experiences.
