I'm not generally a fan of memoirs, so take my thoughts with a grain of salt. The thing that put me off of this one was that the narrative doesn't stay on track. The story starts with the description of the author's adoption and subsequent placing for adoption of a child. But then she starts talking about moving to Phoenix with her husband and makes herself very unlikeable in the process. After that, I just didn't care about her searching for her son or their subsequent reunion.
