I love a good memoir, but I also need it to grab me from the very beginning in order to continue reading. What was interesting to me about this book is that it did grab my attention at first. However, as the book continued I felt myself not connecting with the author, which is a must for a memoir. If I don't care about the author than I'm not going to care about the story. I also did not find that the cover conveyed what the story was about.
