Not For Me, But Maybe For You
The premise of this memoir had me interested, but this first look turned me off. I wasn't connecting to MaryLee. And to me the fact that she herself was adopted, I didn't really feel anything for her. This could be that I am not a mother and have no idea of what giving up a child is like. This memoir just won't be for me, but maybe for others. The chapters are short, which will make for quick reading. Sadly, I could not even finish the first look; that's how uninterested I became while reading it.
The cover does not seem to match up with the memoir. The cover first caught my attention as I thought it was a thriller. But maybe opinions would change as the book progresses.
