I'm not usually one for memoirs, but the writing in this introduction is superb. The story flows, unfolding with a propulsive narrative. It reads like any fictional story, with excerpts and quotes to remind us that this is a real experience revealed in these pages. I think this memoir will appeal to a broad range of readers.
