I really liked how descriptive the emotions and thought processes were. I felt like I understood all of her logic, imagined feeling those same emotions, and rooting for her. I'm so sad for her "almost good" fit, how she has to compromise her happiness for her husband's AND to try and justify it by saying army wives do it, she's not special, and she had to settle on something. Even though all of these events were recollections, it feels very present and the emotions are just as strong.
