The cover of this book threw me off. I thought it was going to be some kind of thriller or murder mystery. I'm not one for memoirs or family histories. And one about kids being adopted and/or taken away. It's a shameful past in the US that should not have been the norm, but at the same time, I have no desire to read about it.
