I struggled to get into the book at first, but since the characters were interesting I kept going.
First of all, this group of characters is one of my favorite that I’ve ever gotten to experience in a book.
Each character is interesting and developed greatly.
As I continued, I witnessed how carefully the author included themes of bigotry, racism, poverty and more into the book. It was executed very well.
Ps please look up trigger warnings before reading because it does get into some stuff.
Plot twists. We love a book with plot twists that jump out at you!!!
Plus let’s not forget the LGBTQ+ rep in the book.
I’m not usually one for mysteries, the just don’t do it for me, but I can say that I actually really enjoyed this one. This is most definitely a book that I would recommend to others to read. It’s a really interesting concept and the characters pull you in.
