I wouldn't say that this type of book is one that I would normally choose for myself. I'm not typically drawn to family dramas, but the added mystery of this plot interests me very much! At first, I had a hard time with the character's name of Amandla, but it got me thinking and I actually researched the name's origins and history and learned something new that was very fascinating! I would venture that the name is purposeful and meaningful to the story. I have officially added this book to my TBR.
