I love the cover of this book! It is bright and draws readers towards it right away.
I really enjoyed Amandla's perspective. She's brave and wise beyond her years as she has had to adapt to her mother's mental illness. But she still seems to love her mother and care about her deeply, which I love. I'm looking forward to getting more insight into her family history and seeing how that history effects her future.
