There's many things about this story that have immediately pulled me in. I love that it's set in South Africa. We get to see the challenges and insecurities Amandla faces, making her interesting and relatable as a protagonist. And there is a big air of mystery, especially surrounding her mother and some clear family secrets. Definitely interested in continuing to read.
