I was pleasantly surprised, as I wasn't initially drawn to the book by its description

As I mentioned in the title, I wasn't particularly drawn to the plot, but I was pleasantly surprised when I started reading the beginning of the book. I like the author's style of writing and the narrator's voice. Despite doubts that I would be interested in the story, I found myself curious to know more just a few pages in. My mind was changed!
