What caught my attention was that Amandla and her mother's relationship seems estranged. Amandla knows when her mom is going to have a "difficult day" which to me seems like she may have them often enough for Amandla to pinpoint them. Then we find that there is a race disparity between Amandla and her mom and due to their family being bi-racial they are often looked at in the town. I am curious to see where the mystery address takes Amandla and her friends. I wonder if it will take her to her father or if it will open a whole other can of worms and secrets.
