This book was a good mix of plot types. It had both thriller and romance elements that seemed very well balanced. This balance was done alongside some very good character development for the two leads. I particularly enjoyed the diversity of the characters in this book and how everyone fit nicely into the story as a whole. While some suspensions of disbelief are needed for a private counter terrorist group that would actively recruit such young spies, the book is a good enough read that I just accepted this and moved on. The main character, Winter, is a likeable pop star. His enjoyment of life is hampered by both his fame and some family issues that are revealed throughout the book. However this is explained in such a way that we empathize rather than roll our eyes at his situation. I also enjoyed learning about Sydney’s background who is about as different as can be from winter. This would be a good beach read for a fun afternoon.
