Winter Young, pop star, has been hired to sing at a private concert for the daughter of a well-known and wanted crime boss named Eli Morrison. He's been sent in along with his bodyguard, Sydney Cossette, to find information to take Eli down. Except Sydney is no ordinary bodyguard. She is part of a private ops group, and Winter is a new recruit helping on her mission. As Winter and Sydney work together, Sydney begins to realize that she may have underestimated Winter. Oh my wow! I was not expecting to love this as much as I did! There's spies, romance, thrills, butt kicking, and one hell of a plot twist that I did not see coming. I was not only hooked into the whole spy part of the story, but I was also hooked into the background story of these characters. Winter and Sydney have such great chemistry. They have a love-hate relationship with great banter. Sydney is such a badass, and Winter is such a sweetheart. This book was so much fun, and I can't wait to see them pair up again in book two!
