Honestly, for the longest time reading this book I was not hooked. It took me a while to get into it, and I nearly did not finish it. Now, with that said, upon finding out that it has another book after it, all of the cumbersome back story and information makes more sense.

Winter Young is an international pop star that is hired by an independent agency to help bring down a massive human trafficker and weapons dealer. His partner is a young agent, Sidney Cosette. Winter is their IN to gather intel by performing a private concert for Eli Morrison daughter for her birthday and Sidney’s cover is as his bodyguard.

Of course nothing on their mission can go as planned, so when things take a left turn, instead of going home and taking the safe way, Sidney and Winter disobey protocol and decide to push ahead and complete their mission. It could be deadly and they know it.

The ending of the book wrapped it up well and gives you an ending that you can be satisfied with. But it also lets you continue on in their adventures if you care to as well.
