As someone who calls themselves a fan of Marie Lu, I was ecstatic to see that she had a new book coming out. My first Marie Lu book that I read was Warcross and Wildcard, which did not disappoint and left me wanting to get my hands on everything Lu has ever written. So this book made me incredibly happy!
This book feels like reading a wattpad fanfic, but in the best way. The crime organizations and the security brought everything together in the perfect way, making my 12-year-old wattpad loving self so so so content and thankful for Lu writing this book.
Lastly, in relation to the ideals of this cover, it is literally amazing. I'm a sucker for a book font and this one delivers, as the font and the coloring of the font fits in with the rest of the cover perfectly. I adore the half and half upside down characters which shows the difference between the characters in the story.
