I loved the concept of a pop star and a spy, and their dynamic together was really entertaining. This was definitely the enemies-to-lovers but in a fun way! I especially liked Sydney’s character, and Winter and Sydney’s witty banter – it made me laugh so many times. There were so many twists and turns, and the action scenes were done well. I can totally see this book being adapted into a movie, one that I'd be sure to watch on the big screen! It’s a fantastic start to Marie Lu’s new YA series, and I can’t wait for the sequel!

UPDATE: I already read this book when it first came out in hardcover. I loved it so much that I had to get the paperback version because it comes with the bonus chapter (that ended in the mind-blowing cliffhanger) and tipped-in art print of Winter and Sydney! I can’t wait for Icon and Inferno to come out!

The old cover was pretty, but it didn’t show the spy aspect of the story at all, so I’m glad that the pre-order promotion cover is now on the paperback version too!
