I honestly don't think there will ever be a book by Marie Lu that I won't enjoy - she's such an amazing author! Overall, Stars and Smoke was a really fun read and it kept me entertained the entire time. For me, it felt like something (small) was missing - though I'm not sure what, exactly - and so I didn't give it a full 5 stars. Regardless, I loved Sydney and Winter and can't wait to read more of their story! Both of them were easily likeable from early on in the story. I found the spy aspect of the book to be very interesting. The romance aspect was done well in my opinion - it never felt forced or too much, and I enjoyed seeing their relationship grow.
I think the cover is gorgeous, as is the tip in - both of the artists did such an excellent job capturing Winter and Sydney.
