Not a fan of the cover. And I remember reading an excerpt of this novel some time ago. I didn't care for it then, and I still don't care for it now. I have enjoyed Lu's other fantasy novels such as Skyhunter and Steelstriker, but Stars and Smoke isn't quite a fantasy and it's just too far fetched to be anything else. I mean a pop singer becoming a spy? Really?
