First off, I love the cover of the hardback book, but this paperback cover is beautiful! I’ve heard great things about Stars & Smoke and Marie Lu, so I was excited to pick up this first look! Lu packs a punch and we get so much information and backstory on Winter in only the first 30 pages of the book. I was genuinely upset when I got to the end of the excerpt. I want to know more about Winter! I want to meet Jackal (our FMC, I’m assuming). I want to know more about the baddie and how Winter is going to assist in their capture! I just want more!
