The first time I read this preview I think I wasn't super interested in the writing style which seemed targeted towards a younger audience. Lately however I've been giving different writing styles a try and I think I like this more with that view point. I like the characters and the lore set up with the mystery inserted right away. However, I feel like I am deprived of the other main character in this excerpt which is really disappointing to me. I think it would make the story a lot more interesting. I really like then new cover.
